Jasleen Virk
President
Jasleen is a second year Master of Social Work student at the School of Social Policy and Practice. She is deeply interested in child welfare, and has her niche in advocating for foster care youth. Outside of school work, she is a fun and bold person, who loves loud music and getting to make new friends at every turn she takes. Jasleen is from Seattle and has slowly adjusted to the east coast (but it’s still west coast, best coast for her). She is excited to lead the Rangoli executive board as the President, and plans to use her previous experiences to elevate Rangoli to the next level!

Mohammed Raza
Vice - President
Raza, a Second Year Data Science Grad Student, exemplifies resilience and perseverance in his academic and career pursuits. He diligently tackles challenging coding projects and complex algorithms, often working late into the night. His collaborative spirit and willingness to assist peers foster a sense of camaraderie. Beyond his technical skills, Raza connects with diverse individuals, engages in meaningful conversations, and enjoys exploring nature, sports, and new experiences. When he is not doing anything, he loves watching action animes such as One Piece, Bleach, and DBZ.

John Harshith
Finance Chair
Meet John Harshith! An international student raised under the sunny skies of Kuwait, now navigating life in Philly as an M.S. Computer Science graduate student at UPenn SEAS. By day, he crunches numbers as the Finance Chair for the Rangoli Committee (someone’s got to make sure the pizza budget balances!), and at night, he’s probably watching football highlights. Outside of campus, he’s the kind of person who believes in giving back, actively engaging with NGOs and community causes. A lifelong Manchester City fan, John is a crazy football guy.

Logistics Chair
Meet Venkatesh, the Logistics Chair for Penn Rangoli! A masters student in Electrical Engineering at Penn who's passionate about bringing hardware and software together to create cool, real-world solutions. Beyond work, you’ll find him exploring Philly’s food scene, hiking new trails or enjoying music. He’s always up for a good conversation and enjoys connecting with people over shared stories and laughter.

Samhitha Vedire
Social Activities Chair
Samhitha is a second-year Master’s student in Robotics. Having grown up in the U.S. and moving to India in middle school, she developed a deep appreciation for culture wherever she goes and loves to learn from the people and places around her. Outside of work, you’ll catch her curled up with a book or out exploring the city (bonus points if it ends with a beautiful sunset and a steaming cup of masala chai). She’s super excited to be the Social Activities director and cook up fun events, memorable moments, and plenty of laughter this year!

Indrajeet is a first-year Master of City and Regional Planning student at Stuart Weitzman School of Design with a background in architecture. His passion lies at the intersection of data analysis and urban planning, where he focuses on integrating data-driven insights to foster social reform. Beyond academics, Indrajeet is an avid traveler and trekker, who loves to tell stories through his photography. He thrives on meeting new people, exchanging experiences, and exploring fresh perspectives. A passionate team player, he enjoys playing football and badminton, bringing the same energy and spirit to both sports and student life.

Meet Ria Kundra, the Communications Chair for Penn Rangoli! She’s a first-year M.S. Data Science student who loves mixing creativity with logic—whether that’s in coding projects or crafting the perfect message.She’s passionate about building connections and making sure every voice is heard.When she’s not buried in datasets, you’ll likely find her dancing, volunteering, or exploring new food spots around Philly. She believes in the power of storytelling—whether through data or through community events—and is always up for a good chat (bonus points if it’s over coffee!).

Advocacy Chair
Meet Harshika, the Advocacy Chair for Penn Rangoli! A 3rd-year dental student at Penn, she’s originally from Kolkata, India. She brings her love for Indian culture through food, music, and festivals. When she’s not in clinic, you’ll find her baking something sweet, perfecting a dance move, trying new restaurants, or catching up on sleep (her favorite hobby!). She loves making people smile, and no, she’s not looking at your teeth (promise!).
Fun fact: Harshika has 15 first cousins!
